Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction (Goose Pimple Junction #1) by Amy Metz

Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction (Goose Pimple Junction mystery) (Volume 1) - Amy Metz

This was such a laugh to read! I loved the Southern drawl and the whole town of Goose Pimple Junction. The southern language was hard sometimes to understand, but it was fun to read.
The story jumps from the 1930's where there was an unsolved murder to the Present Day, where we met Tess who has moved to Goose Pimple Junction after her divorce.

This to me is the perfect Sunday murder mystery read and I loved the twists and turn, A great cozy mystery that sucks you in until the very end.

Heroes & Hooligans in Goose Pimple Junction: Goose Pimple Junction Mysteries Book 2 (Goose Pimple Junction #2) by Amy Metz

Heroes & Hooligans in Goose Pimple Junction (Goose Pimple Junction Mysteries) (Volume 2) - Amy Metz

Yet again I loved this book! I am hooked on this series and I cant wait to read more.
We are greeted again with the same Southern speak that I have come to love, and I love how each chapter begins with a southern word or phrase and a translation. I loved that in the first book and glad that it carried forward on in this book.

This book sucks you in with more mystery and there are several happening at once time around.

Brilliant series so far, 5 stars!

Sinful Rewards 1: A Billionaires and Bikers Novella (Sinful Rewards #1) by Cynthia Sax

Sinful Rewards 1 - Cynthia Sax

This certainly wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
It was very descriptive about a lot of things and very fashion and money orientated.
I loved it and hated it at the same time as there seemed to be very little of a story among all the descriptions of her tattered old purse and what high fashion clothes her room mate wore. Maybe that is just me....

Immediate thoughts of Belinda - or Bee - were conceited and gold digger, she is a poor girl living with her rich friend who fantasies about marrying Nicolas Rainer the super hot rich guy who owns the apartment building she lives in.

That is until she discovers the equally hot bad boy-type, Hawke, who lives in the condo across for her.

She gains a secret admirer and a new purse.... - is it Nicolas or Hawke?

I loved the book enough to want to know more and I cant wait to read book 2!

8 Weeks (Time for Love #1) by Bethany Lopez

8 Weeks - Bethany Lopez

So where do I start? I really didn't like Shelly.
Yes I felt for her when Cal told her about what happened in Vegas, but instead of sitting down discussing it and talking options from there, she was quick to get divorce papers drawn up and sold their house within days of his indiscretion.

That didn't sit well with me, they were married for 6 years and whilst Cal doesn't even fully know what happened that night, (other than waking up naked next to someone other than his wife) it wasn't excusable but I would say it did warrant being forgiven (eventually), she was willing to throw it all away instantly.

I love the fact that Cal went all out over the eights weeks to prove his love to her and put his whole heart on the line to make it up to her. She responded several times being a tease - in my eyes - by going on the date then having sex with him only to tell him to leave straight after, but I did feel he had to a hell of a lot of grovelling to save his marriage.

Shelly also went out changed her hair, got piercing and tattoos after the split - which made Cal feel like she had to ask her permission to do things in their marriage which angered him and also me as that is exactly how it came across in the book.

God can you tell I really didn't like Shelly!?

Apart from the gripes I had with Shelly I really did enjoy the story and I really enjoyed the things that Cal did in order to get her back. But after the 8 weeks, after dragging it out for that length of time only then did Shelly ask for the full story.

I look forward to reading the next book in the series

Fractured: Volume One (Fractured Serials #1) by Alexis Noelle

Fractured: Volume One - Alexis Noelle

** I received a copy of this book in exchange of my honest review for the upcoming release day **

This is my first book by Alexis and she didn't disappoint.
Cam and Shay are childhood sweethearts and also just newly married. Cam is in the military and Shay is a writer.

As soon as they return from honeymoon and he is given orders for deployment. We go through the emotions of Shay being left behind and the clique of the other military wives.

They are so in love and I really feel for Shay - I don't know how she (or anyone with partners in the military cope with deployment)

and then end..... omg...

Look forward to the next instalment.

I really enjoyed this book, for all it is YA it definitely starts off with a very adult theme.

It starts off with the main character Valerie being raped. She was on her way to a house party and ended up in the wrong house where a masked man attacks her. She then starts receiving messages on picomatic that seems to be coming from other victims of the same guy how raped her.

It is a story about her dealing with the rape, finding the rapist-murder and also finding herself again among the bullies at her school

The book focuses on how cruel bullies can be and the after effects of rape. It does a good job of portraying how teenagers are now a days and it is an eye-opener.

Will definietly check out more by Sharif

Broken Lives (Book 2) by Brenda Kennedy

Broken Lives (Freedom Trilogy Book 2) - Brenda Kennedy

This picks up right where we left off in book one with the discovery of Molly in Alec's bed.
Yeah that was some cliffhanger, and I couldn't wait to start this book and pick up the story.

After some quick explaining from Alec, we discover the reasons behind Molly not being in the picture and she becomes intent on getting Alec back and Emma out of the picture.

Both Alec and Emma's relationship is tested by Molly and I loved how this book shows how a relationship can have it ups and downs - with a side order of manic ex's thrown in.

I loved both books so far and I cant wait to read book 3 for the conclusion of their story

5 stars

Broken Prophecy (Broken Wings #3) by Sandra Love

Broken Prophecy (Broken Wings Book 3) - Sandra Love, Genevieve Scholl

After the cliffhanger from book 2, I couldn't wait to read this. Cordelia has been turned dark but she doesn't want to be dark and she has to fulfill the prophecy by doing something that she doesn't want to do.

Can she do it and save everyone?

This book tied up a lot of loose ends from the last two book, and whilst I don't do spoilers you will just need to read it to see what happens - does the prophecy get fulfilled, does everyone die or is there a happy ever after?
I am so glad to have been given the opportunity to review this, I loved the series so far and this book is a great ending to series! I loved watching the author grown and progress as well over the course of the series, and I look forward to reading more from Sandra

Broken Pleasures (A Prequel) - M. S. Parker

As usual Ms Parker didn't disappoint with the start of this new series! She is easily becoming one my favorite authors in this genre.

This is a prequel to her new Pleasures series and I cant wait for the next installment Forbidden Pleasures to be released.

This sets you up for Jenna and Rylan and I really want to know more about Jenna's past that leads her to be so adverse to closeness - if that is even the right term for what I am trying to say. Jenna uses guys for sex and on her terms and never with same guy more than once, so when Rylan enters her world as her new client and potential boss if he gets his way - he could be the one to break through her defenses.

A short brilliant read that definitely leaves you wanting to find out more about Jenna and how the relationship between her and Rylan will develop.

Get Your Rocks Off? by K.E Osborn

Get Your Rocks Off? - K.E. Osborn

wow what a book! After how book 1 leaves us hanging, I was excited to be able to get a review copy of this for the book tour.

The way it starts out we see Colt in the hospital with Lia, only the wording choice leaves us dreading the worst, damn you!

But as we know from the synopsis she recovers - but not without complications. Lia has to come to terms with not being able to have a family due to extent of the accident leaving her having to have a hysterectomy. She is naturally and obviously, distraught about this, and the emotions throughout the book are running high.

Lia and Colt go through so much in the book, so much so it hooks you in and you just can't put it down. As the storyline played out I knew what direction it was going to take but still it didn't prepare me for the onslaught of emotions you feel along with the characters.

5 brilliant stars!

Club Privé: French Connection Vol. III (Club Privé: French Connection #3) by M.S. Parker

Club Prive 8 - French Connection Vol. 3 - M. S. Parker

**SERIES REVIEW - NO SPOILERS **

What can I say? M.S. Parker doesn't disappoint yet again.

I haven't the Club Prive books prior to the French Connection series so I don't know Carrie and Gavin's complete back story, but that didn't matter I was still able to read and enjoy this series. (I do recommend reading the first series though, as I have since gone back and did)

Vol 3 is the perfect end to the Carrie and Gavin's story. Going to France was supposed to make them closer but in fact it has the opposite effect. There is so much lying and decite that no wonder a wedge is coming between them.

It all comes to a head and you don't want miss out on the ending to their story.

Another brilliant 5 star series!

[Review] Seside Secrets by Melissa Foster

Seaside Secrets - Melissa Foster

Love In Bloom #23

This is my first book by Melissa Foster and I can assure you it will not be my last!

I loved everything about this book. I would love to be apart of a group just like the Seaside Girls. Jessica’s innocence is what makes this story for me, it is unusual for someone in their twenties to not have much experience of things like eBay and relationships, but after leading such a sheltered life devoted to playing the Cello it is pretty understandable.

I loved the chemistry between Jessica and Jamie and in fact I loved them as a couple. period.

Melissa has done a great job with this, and though it part of a series having never read the previous ones I didn't feel like that it was a problem. This book is definitely easy to read as stand alone, but the OCD in me now want to go out and get the rest to complete the story.

I can not wait to read more by Melissa!

Burdened by Perri Ann

Burdened (A Burdened Novel #1) - Peiri Ann

I struggled to get into this book, which is a shame as I love the synopsis, and the cover omg!
The characters we around 18 years old but they were way more immature than I had expected them to be.

It was slow book for me to get into, it did pick for me though over half way through.
The characters as I said came over as more immature than their age, and Glen - Tracey's best friends (who I kept thinking was a guy because of the name) - I didn't take to for some reason.

It was a interesting read from the perspective of Demons, and I would read more of this series.
