AT Large (Alex Troutt Thriller book 2, Redemption Thriller Series book 2) by John Mefford

This is book 2 in the Alex Troutt series, and this can easily be read as a stand alone, however I advise you read AT Bay first as something’s that happen in that book coincide with this book.
After the events of AT Bay, the killer is now behind bars awaiting trial and Alex finds herself working with her old partner Nick again and they are in the Violent Crimes Unit now. If that doesn’t give you an idea behind this story then I don’t know what will.
They end up playing a game of cat and mouse with what they initially believe to be a copy cat killer – targeting cheating husbands. The murder scenes are gory, bloody and so vivid not to mention violent, also they are enough to make you go eww. They connect the dots and find out that there is someone who is connected the man in jail and when all the connections start making sense it is a race to stop the final murder taking place. The murderer in question also singles out Alex and leaves taunting messages at each of the crime scenes.
Do they make it in time? Can the FBI and CIA work together to catch the killer?
This was an intense read that will have you hooked from the start and it is a real page turner. I was up until the wee small hours reading! I love how we see Alex still getting her memory back and I have no idea how John Mefford will top this one in terms of the gory murders.
Brilliant book and cant wait to the read next one, I can imagine it will be yet another roller coaster for Alex!
