AT Stake is book 1 in the final set of six book in the brilliant Redemption Series by John Mefford and this is one series that I just can’t get enough of. Just when you think you are getting ready to say goodbye to characters you have come love and see as family Mefford ties them all up together and now we see Ozzie and Alex team up.

Alex is back and after witnessing the aftermath of a bombings at the Boston Marathon that sees Nick’s life hang on the balance she also finds herself on the sidelines of the investigation! The lead investigator is a bit of a jerk so she gets the go ahead from her supervisor Jerry to do what she can to find out who is responsible. Alex enlists the help of Ozzie as they get called in to investigate the murders and robbery of some affluent business people. Only they discover there is an connection to the murder/robbery and the bombings.

How it all unfolds is done in true Mefford fashion, that has all the usual action and thriller that you have come to love from his writing as well as the suspense of following Alex and Ozzie as they piece the puzzle together. There is a wee twist at the end that I never saw coming at all and all I can is the next book can’t come quick enough! OMG!
